As a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Randy Weston and Melba Liston's birth, Geof Bradfield and his Sextet will explore depth and breadth of their collaboration of 40 years with more than a dozen collaborative albums with an explicit focus on African influence both in broad, pan-African terms and more specific music traditions such as Highlife and the Gnawa musicians of Morocco; and Great Black Music, Ancient to the Future aesthetic (like the AACM, et al.)
