Jazz for Chicago Big Band Celebrates International Jazz Day

The Chicago Federation of Musicians (Local 10-208 of the American Federation of Musicians) is proud to present a free lunchtime performance by The Jazz for Chicago Big Band on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM in the historic GAR Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center. The performance serves as a kickoff to a weeklong celebration of UNESCO’s World Jazz Day. Observed each year on April 30th, the City of Chicago is proud to serve as this year’s global host city, highlighting Chicago’s jazz musicians as a vital part of the city’s rich artistic life.

This special concert is set to feature 17 of the city’s finest professional musicians, alongside acclaimed Chicago vocalist Angel Spiccia.
