Chicago Poet Laureate Mayda del Valle joins Chicago femme poets for an intimate evening of poetry, live jazz, and film exploring femininity through the lived experiences of Black and Brown bodies. This multidisciplinary performance blends spoken word with cinematic visuals and live music, followed by a special audience Q&A with Mayda del Valle. One night. One room. Come ready to listen deeply.

Featuring live music by Coffee Jazz Collective – The Raven Trio, a boundary-pushing Chicago jazz ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist Mira Raven. Known for bringing genre-blending jazz to unexpected spaces, the trio delivers an immersive set of drums, bass, and piano shaped by jazz, soul, and experimental sound, with improvisation and energy at the core of the experience.
